The official seal of EPRC was created in 1977 and is divided into four areas.
The top left quarter of the circle represents U.S. Senator Henry Gassaway Davis. Davis started the first and oldest park by donating the land to be used as a park for the people of Elkins, which was the beginning of the community parks program.
The top right quarter of the circle represents our location in the state of West Virginia. EPRC is proud of our city and promotes state-wide and city events.
The bottom left quarter of the circle represents the City Park. The park is the center of recreation activity in Elkins for the EPRC. The picnic table, pavilion, and trees represent the variety of activities and the relaxed atmosphere the EPRC promotes.
The bottom right quarter of the circle represents the year round program that is offered by the EPRC.
